hoon /hu:n/  

(countable noun, intransitive verb)  Usage note: This is the usual term used by all speakers.

1. (countable noun) Someone who drives a car fast and dangerously, often in order to impress people. The word is usually used negatively.

Example: "I can say today that as a government we are willing to crush the cars of dangerous hoon drivers when those cars have been confiscated, in certain circumstances," he said.  (  

2. (intransitive verb) To drive fast and dangerously.

Example: I have recently paid more attention to the behaviours of drivers in my neighbourhood due to an increase in hooning and speeding. (
