Hockeyroo /hɒki ‘ru:/

A member of the Australian women’s hockey team. Hockey is usually played on grass in Australia. There are two teams, each of eleven people, and each player has a stick which is curved at one end. The aim is to hit the small ball into the opposing team’s goal.
