G'day /gəˈdeɪ/

(expression) (informal) Usage note: This term is used by many speakers.

Short for ‘Good day’, meaning ‘Hello’. This greeting can be used at any time of the day or night, and is used more by (sometimes older) men than women.

Example: Hello everyone, I’m new here. Just wanted to pop in and say g’day. (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/archive/index.php/t-108281.html)
